A New Project Begins in Thade

In the hills of Thade, clean water is being carried home — powered by skill, purpose, and community pride.

High in the hills of Thade, a new Dolma Foundation water project has begun — in partnership with The Worshipful Company of Plumbers. Along steep, narrow paths, villagers are carrying pipes, materials, and two massive 10,000-litre tanks to connect their homes to a hidden mountain spring.

The goal is simple, yet transformative: clean, running water for every household. Leading the work are graduates from Dolma Foundation’s 2023 plumber training programme, young men and women who once learned the craft through Dolma’s initiative and now return to apply their skills where they matter most.

This project is more than infrastructure — it is empowerment in action. Each tank lifted and each pipe laid represents ownership, dignity, and progress built by the people themselves. Together, they are not just carrying water; they are carrying the future of their village.

Hope grows when someone like you reaches out.
