The Global Support

The children supported by Trinetra Foundation, Ayush, Phurba, Maya, Aman, Bindu, Om Prakash, Sushant, Rajan, with Chairman Tim Gocher OBE DL.

Phurba, from Upper Dolpo, lost his sight as a baby but shines through music, playing the madal and singing while studying in Grade 8 at Lab School.

Dolma Foundation, together with Round Table Nepal (RTN), is raising funds for a new, purpose-built home for the blind and visually impaired. This will be the new home for the Trinetra Foundation, which currently cares for around 15 children in small, rented accommodation.

Dolma has supported Trinetra for five years and provides scholarships for many of its children. This new home is an opportunity for the ever-expanding Trinetra family has space, modern facilities and dignity along with the safeguarding and child protection already monitored as a Dolma Foundation partner organization.

The rented space that once offered refuge is now too small.

With support from Dolma Foundation and Round Table Nepal, a new home is being built — one designed for accessibility, learning, and safety.

Why This Matters

For children who cannot see, the world can feel full of barriers. With the right support, those barriers can become pathways to independence and dignity:

  • 1 A safe and loving home where they feel secure
  • 2 Nutritious meals and healthcare that keep them strong
  • 3 Education and training that opens doors to opportunity
  • 4 A community that believes in their dreams

Every contribution helps ensure that Trinetra continues its vital work. Without this home, many of these children would have nowhere to go.

Partnership and Care

This initiative brings together Dolma Foundation, RTN, and Trinetra Foundation in a shared commitment to give blind children the life they deserve.

Trinetra, an NGO based in Kathmandu, provides housing, education support, and care for blind, visually impaired, orphaned, and differently-abled children. Dolma Foundation has already carried out due diligence on Trinetra under its child protection, safeguarding, and confidentiality policies, and continues to ensure the highest standards of care.

In January 2026, our mission will gain even greater visibility when Lord David Blunkett, one of the world’s leading voices for disability rights, headlines Dolma Foundation’s fundraising event at the Guildhall in London. His involvement reflects the importance of this project and brings international attention to the lives we are working to change.

Every Child Deserves a Future

One child at Trinetra dreams of becoming a teacher. Another wants to learn music. Each child carries hopes that are no different from any other, and each deserves the chance to pursue them.
