In a small rented flat in Kathmandu, fifteen blind and visually impaired children share one home.

It’s called Trinetra Foundation, led by Kancha Gurung, who is blind himself.

His family lives with the children, teaching them, guiding them, and building their confidence day by day.

When Dolma Foundation first visited Trinetra, we saw more than a hostel; we saw strength, talent, and potential.

Since then, Dolma has been a steady partner: sponsoring children, covering school fees, and supporting daily needs to ensure no child is left behind.

Together, we’ve ensured that every child at Trinetra receives safe accommodation, proper nutrition, and access to education

The Next Step

Building a Home

The rented space that once offered refuge is now too small.

With support from Dolma Foundation and Round Table Nepal, a new home is being built — one designed for accessibility, learning, and safety.

Why This Matters

A Safe home

  • Where every child has a bed, a routine, and a place to belong.

Nutritious
meals

  • Because confidence begins with care.

Education &
Training

  • So children can study, learn Braille, and explore music.

A Believing
Community

  • Guided by Dolma’s partnership and Nepal’s compassion.

The Global Support

Lord David Blunkett

In January 2026, Dolma Foundation will host a global fundraising event at the Guildhall, London, headlined by Lord David Blunkett, one of the world’s leading voices for disability rights.

His support brings international attention to the children of Trinetra and the shared mission to create a home that reflects their dignity and potential.

Hope grows when someone like you reaches out.
