In Bridim, gratitude filled the air as AJWS witnessed how hope had been rebuilt, home by home.

High in the mountains of Bridim, a community once shattered by the earthquake stood strong again — and this time, it welcomed visitors not with sorrow, but with celebration. Members of the American Jewish World Service (AJWS) travelled to the remote village to see first-hand the impact of Dolma Foundation’s rebuilding work.

The people of Bridim, whose lives had been transformed through the Foundation’s earthquake recovery efforts, gathered to greet their guests with a heartfelt ceremony of music, blessings, and smiles. What began as a visit soon became a moving exchange — a moment of shared humanity between those who gave and those who rebuilt.

For the AJWS team, it was a powerful reminder of how compassion can travel across continents. For the people of Bridim, it was a chance to express gratitude and pride in what they had achieved together. The day ended not just in reflection, but in renewed hope for all that lies ahead.

Hope grows when someone like you reaches out.
