For the villagers of Thade, clean water was once a distant dream. Every drop meant long walks, heavy loads, and uncertainty. But this year, after months of labour through the monsoon rains, that dream finally came true.

In partnership with The Worshipful Company of Plumbers and Highland Secondary Boarding School, Dolma Foundation proudly inaugurated the village’s new water system — one that now delivers safe, reliable water directly to homes. The transformation has reshaped daily life, bringing better health, time for education, and renewed dignity to families across the hills.

This project is more than pipes and tanks; it is proof of community strength and collaboration. The water now flowing through Thade carries not just refreshment, but pride — and the power of what people can build when they believe in a better future.
