In the quiet hills of Kalikasthan, three hours from Dhunche, stood a small home for children with disabilities — a place where laughter echoed through simple walls.

On 25 April 2015, that laughter was silenced. The earthquake turned the Camp into one of the hardest-hit corners of Rasuwa.

The village of 600 people saw 90% of its homes destroyed. Families took shelter in schools and hospitals.

At the Camp, the tragedy was deeper still. Four boys and one rehabilitation worker lost their lives. Twelve children remained, many having lost their families. For those who remained, each aftershock felt like the world collapsing again.
