When Dolma Foundation lost a dear friend, Piers Helsen, we chose to honour his life through action — by transforming grief into something that gives back. With the love and support of his family and friends from around the world, the Foundation helped bring new life to the Disabled New Life Centre.
In his memory, a full physiotherapy department was established — complete with essential equipment and a dedicated physiotherapist to care for children with disabilities. What began as a tribute became a sanctuary of strength and progress, where young lives are nurtured with care and dignity.
This facility is more than a treatment room. It stands as a lasting reminder of kindness, built to ensure that every child who enters it leaves a little stronger, a little more confident. Together with the Centre, Dolma Foundation continues to monitor and improve the space, ensuring that Piers’ legacy lives on — in every stretch, every smile, and every step forward.
